Lesson 8 | Closed Goals (2:20 minutes)
Closed Goals
On the left navigation of the Qualitate application, you'll see an area where it says Closed Goals. And closed goals is a holding tank for goals that you're not working on, meaning that the goal is completed or it's something that you're going to prioritize at a different time, but you want to take it out of the planning process.
So, when you select a goal, go up and click under Goal Clarity/Goal Achievement, click view. Then click edit. And then scroll down to the bottom, and this is where you can take a goal from being active to being closed. It's closed on today's date, happens to be March 21st, and we save it.
Now, on the left navigation, when you click on closed goals, there's the closed goal under this goal financial independence. We closed it. If you want to view it to see additional details on that you can click the closed goal arrow, and it'll bring you back. And then you go back under Goal Clarity, and you've noticed that that goal is gone. So, it's no longer showing up here. It will no longer show up in the Planning Map as well.So you go to the Planning Map section, the goal is gone. If we look at that goal and say we want to reactivate it, then we can go back, view the closed goal, click on edit, scroll down to the bottom, and make the goal active. Click save. And now it has come back into the planning realm where it's under Goal Clarity. And it is part of the Planning Map.
So the closed goal section in that process under Goal Clarity is a great way to manage all the goals, be presenting what is most important, and if you put many items under the closed goal area, remember when you click on Planning Map, you can go to goal filter, and you can actually just run a Planning Map on items that are closed.
Great area to use often, and that is the reminder under each goal when you view them. Click edit. And all the way down at the bottom is the area where you can make an item active or closed.
