Lesson 8 | Introduction to the 4-Phase Model for Planning (1:34 minutes)
The 4-Phase Model for Planning
Early on in the overview of the program, I talked about a shared process. Let me further introduce that to you. Later on in the program, we'll be getting into this in much, much greater detail.
Phase one of that process is called the Discovery Phase and the main objective of that phase is to identify the key goals of the client, to focus and gain clarity around what the client would like to see accomplished and what the current gaps might be in their planning today.
The second phase is the Creative Solution Phase. The main objective of this phase is to collaborate and discuss the appropriate strategies for closing the planning gaps with the other advisors.
Phase three is what we call the Strategy Deployment Phase. In this phase, the main objective is to implement the selected strategies that are specifically designed to close the planning gaps and generate a desired result to accomplish the goals that the client is after.
The fourth phase is the Results Management Phase. The main objective of this final phase is to establish a plan to manage the implemented strategies and to sustain those results over time, while maintaining the confidence of the client.
This is a fully integrated process that as you move forward through this course, we will be addressing and talking about the specifics of this in greater detail in the shared process section, and talking about how you can leverage this to drive the collaborative process.
