Recap: Introduction to LINK

Well, congratulations for making it through the course so far. What we like to do now is just take a few minutes and hit some of the high points of the key areas that we've talked about throughout the course. Remember in the introduction, we talked about a definition of collaboration. NAEPC has a great definition of collaboration and I particularly enjoy the Three Circles that represent the confluence of communication, coordination and cooperation. That fits in every client devolvement, engagement that you'll ever have. That's a great thing to keep in mind.

We talked a little bit about the benefits to you, the advisor. That you will be able to give better advice to clients, that you'll have more productive working relationship with the other advisors, that you'll be able to potentially avoid the snipers who may undermine your work, because they're in a competitive situation to you. That'll probably generate more referrals for you. Probably generate more revenue for you and just be a great to work with the clients.

The collaboration process of course, is great for clients as well. Many benefits to the clients. They're going to get better advice. They're probably going to have lower expenses, particularly considering the additional benefits they'll get from better planning. When all those advisors meet together, it's a great outcome for clients. Throughout the course, we talked about the why of collaboration. We've also given you some very cranial or how to's to collaborate. But it's a lot of material, so we want you to remember that all of this is available to you through the course. You can go back and review. In particular, for example, just before a client meeting, you could review that segment. Just before an advisor meeting, you could review that segment. Just before your strategy session, you could review that segment. Be sure to go back and refresh your memory on all these important concepts.
