The Client Recommendation Meeting Recap

The fifth best practice is the client presentation meeting. This is where all of the core team advisors get together with the client and present their findings and their recommendations to the client. So hopefully you and the entire team have worked together to develop this report. Each advisor making contributions, editing, proofreading, massaging this report until everyone is satisfied that it's covering the material you want to cover in your client meeting.

In advance of the client meeting, you want to rehearse the roles of each advisor, and let each advisor talk about the aspects of the plan in their area of qualification.

Finally, if you're moderating this meeting, which is I think a good role for you as the initiator of this collaborative idea, you want to moderate this like a panel discussion. You'll bring the other advisors in to talk about their topic when the time comes.

The last thing that you want to do in your client recommendation meeting is simply agree on next actions. The client hopefully will make some decisions about what they're ready to move forward with and implement now, and each advisor may have something to do in connection with starting that.
